Todays' Politics...This is Ridiculous

Okay, this is REALLY starting to piss me off. So we have the democratic led Congress who passed a bill to give our brave troops more funding for the war but there's a catch. They attached a troop withdrawal deadline to the bill as well. Not only is this manipulative, this is a real jack-a$$ thing to do. This just shows you how little they care for the well-being of this country and how much they care for being able to have and exert power over people.

What the democrats have done here is actually smart from their end. Once you get past the fact that every single one of them who sent this bill on are a bunch of low, scum sucking, good-for-nothing, power-tripping, PIGS...it was a smart political move. Notice, it was a political move...not a good-for-the-country move. So what we have is a President with his hands tied behind his back. He has two options.
  1. Option 1 is to pass the bill, receive more funding for the troops yet the troops must be home next year and we lay down to the terrorists and the rest of the world and admit we are weak. All you have to do is put up a little resistance and we will put our tail between our legs and hide. This sets the tone for the rest of this countries existence by the way.
  2. Option 2 is to veto the bill. Tell the democratic congress to piss off and give us something that's worth it's weight in the paper they wrote it on. The President then gets ridiculed (by the Democrats), probably called a hypocrite, because he vetoed a bill which would have given the troops more funding. Then we have the Democrats parading around saying to the people in America, "see, they want to lead you into a war and then not provide what is necessary to finish the job" or something absolutely ridiculous like that.

I hope everybody can see that either way, this is NOT good for anybody other than the bleeding heart democrats who are peace at any price. These democrats have more invested in destroying the Bush administration than doing anything good for this country such as letting us show we STILL have a backbone.

I'm sick of people acting like we owe everybody something and should please everybody because we are the world power. Sooner or later there is going to be a change in this country. The white man who is slapped around everyday by almost everybody in this world is going to get sick of it and finally say, DAMNIT, WE EARNED WHAT WE HAVE AND BY GOD, WE ARE THE WORLD POWER AND WE WILL NOT LAY DOWN TO ANYBODY. IF PEOPLE WANT A FIGHT, WE WILL GIVE YOU A FIGHT. And this fight is going to start from within this country to get rid of all these politicians making decisions for personal power and not for this country. It is going to happen...give it time. I don't think people have seen what the everyday, hard-working, modest American man is capable of...and that time is coming and it's going to be ugly. Why, because WE still are the majority here...people want to tell us we are not but we are. Look across this country and you will see it. Turn your TV to an NFL game (especially Philly) and look at the passion these people have towards their football teams, turn it to an Ultimate Fighting match and see what they physically capable of doing. It will scare almost anybody in their right mind. Eventually, this passion is going to come out accompanied by what we are capable of doing and instead of being aimed at another "team" it is going to be aimed at the people trying to diminish what we are, the people trying to take away what this country has worked for over the past 200 years, and the people telling us that they will not give us what they told us they would give us (politicians)...it will first be within the country and then move outside the country to tell the world we are the power and we will start acting like it.

You want to fly some planes into our buildings??? Okay, thats fine, but don't be surprised when what you now know as your "homeland" looks like a glass dessert. Don't be surprised when we come to YOUR country and KICK..YOUR..ASS. Not by sending man-power...we should be smarter than that, we have the capabilities of far worse and it will be much easier on us...it will be no more of this being nice stuff. No, you try to hurt us, we WILL SUCCEED in KILLING YOU. Sorry but we won't be watching for "innocent civilians" like women, children, and what not...your country harbors them and supports them , we will destroy it. We'll let God sort'em out. Not our problem. You know why...because they will have FAIR warning, it will be clear, mess with us, stick your finger in our gravy, and we will not only cut it off but we will body slam your ass in the process.

We were like this at one time during the not-so-distance past. We had a backbone. Do you know what December 7, 1941 was? The attack on Pearl Harbor. Do you remember what we did in return??? If not, call Japan, they will connect you to a man with 12 fingers, 1 leg, and 3 testicles and he can tell you what happened. THATS HOW WE PLAY THE GAME.

I can see it. The terrorists (remember, in their weird voices) are like "we killed 3,000 of your people"...we're like "we've killed...MILLIONS"...terrorist says "oh yeah, we blew up 2 of your buildings"...we're like "oh yeah, we blew up 2 of your COUNTRIES!"

Then we can say to the world "don't stick your finger in our gravy" and they will all know what we mean.

Wow - so much to respond to on this one! Damn I think I WOULD vote Bruce for President! LOL! I hear ya...it constantly pisses me off that the USA doesn't take more definitive action against those countries that have been PROVEN to harbor, even encourage, terrorists. Where is Jack Bauer when you need him? For real, we need people that honestly take action on our behalf that is FOR THE GOOD OF THE COUNTRY and not for some personal or political benefit. The people who have instigated these attacks on our home soil have NOT paid the price for their actions and sadly, will probably not do so at least in ways that we will know about or in our lifetime. There is, however, still such a thing as Karma and these people will likely be taken care of after they die. But that is of no satisfaction to us who want BLOOD! An eye for an eye, right? Seems like that the proposed bill is a set-up for failure either way...how can a person (or the President) come out on top of something like that? Like it or not, our troops are over there and it constantly ticks me off that people can't understand that we can't just yank them out after starting them on such a huge project, and yes they might actually need more money. Though we COULD spread them around a bit and have a larger presence over a larger area at any given time. Or, the government could take a hint from President Wayne Palmer and launch a nuclear strike as a "warning"...fight fire with fire! And yes, I'm totally hooked on 24 in case you couldn't tell. But in all seriousness, I think that show simply underscores what Americans feel SHOULD be happening within our government - that is, to have people in power who are PASSIONATE about the good of our country and can look beyond personal gain. I have now been typing long enough to forget most of the article so I will probably have other things to say later... Hah!

WOW Bruce! WOW Kim! What you say Bruce is so true. The american people have lost backbone. These things would have never happened years ago when families were raised to live and die and respect God and their country. That is what I was taught growing up. What has happened to the younger generation. Come on, lets get some guts here kids. We are losing all our rights, right here in the good ole USA and letting those liberals take them from us. I just don't understand why they want to give up such (as it was) a great and free country? I wish someone could tell me why. Can you give me that answer roadbuzzard? That is if you were born and raised here? I am not quite sure where you come from and even if you are serious or just playing around on this blog. But you sound like you want to live in a socialistic world. I for one like freedom and to be able to live without worrying about the terrorist killing us and my family. I would also like to know that my grandchildren will have the benifits of growing up in a country like I grew up in when I was young, not like it is getting to be now. I agree with Kim about the karma but that does not do us any good now. Lets just get some backbone and take them out. Lets quit putting the bandaid on it. A statement made by a friend who just got back from Iraq was that no matter how long we stay there, it won't change the way things are going now. Maybe for a bit but not for long. Did they worry about killing women and children on 9/11??? Not at all. I am like Kim and could go on and on about this but I have other things to do right now. All I can say is COME ON AMERICA, LETS GET SOME GUTS AND END IT.

Amen, Amen. I agree with Bruce, Kim and Dori. I believe in Karma and believe that it strikes swiftly and very soon after you act badly towards someone else. Anyway, I agree and wish that we could keep America's principles the way they were. Fortunately, I had the privilege of growing up in this country before it was crazy like this. Lets get some Ball's and fix the problem. I would love to take part in kicking the Dem's ass if it ever came down to that. Hopefully America will not let that happen but only we can assure it by doing our research and voting. I saw on the news, again today that more people know who the American Idol contestants are than who is running for the Presidency. Ugghhhhh. HELP!!!!!!!

Now lets not forget we have had a Republican leadership in this country for the past 7 years. True, we have not been attacked since 9/11, but I honestly believe that if (and more like when) they decide to attack again, it will be just as easy for them. There are many things that George Bush has let us down on. No support for the Fair Tax Act, no real push for privitizing ANY part of society...it's only going the other way and that is socialization. No real push on getting us away from depending on foreign oil. Sure, he has said, "we need to become energy independent" but nothing has been done. Still no drilling in ANWR where we KNOW there is TONS of oil, still no new oil refineries being developed, still no backbone in the fight for it either. Its just like he says it, people say no, and then the discussion is dropped.

This is not a demo-rat only problem (and no, that's not a spelling error) but it is a POLITICIAN problem and a CITIZENS of the USA problem. The youth of this country could care less what is going on and therefor, nothing will be done about it. Yes there is a problem with whinny democrats, yes there is a problem with wimpy Republicans, but I believe the bigger problem is the people's voice is not being heard because the voice is not loud enough.

OK, There have been signs of oil and gas in ANWR since the turn of the century. Since the ANWR was established in 1960, exploration in the region has been restricted to surface geological investigations. Did you know that during World War 2, the entire North Slope of Alaska - 48.8 million acres - was withdrawn from entry under the public land laws and held for the exclusive use by the US gvernment for military purposes. In 1980 President Carter signed the ANILCA into law. The ANILCA doubled the size of the range and renamed it the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and designated most of the original Range as Wilderness. Congress passed budget legislaton that included a provision to allow drilling in the Refuge. President Clinton had a desire to protect biological and wilderness values and vetoed the bill. (I have to rethink the word values when it comes to Clinton. Either one of them. So now, the Arctic Refuge is the only area on Alaska's North Slope where petroleum development is specifically prohibited by Congress. The rest of the region is available for oil and gas development through administrative decisions by the Secretary of the Interior on NPR-A and the Beaufort Sea, or by the Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Natural Resources on State lands and waters. Gov. Tony Knowles sent a letter to Carter about his statement that the ANWR should be declared a national monument. He was quite upset and said that Carter used their state as a media prop and platform to project his message to President Clinton. He said that they were wrong in calling for an executive action at the midnight hour instead of an open, public democratic process of carefully weighing values in the light of day. He also stated that the Alaskans do not fear developing the resources found within their land. It would create an economic boon for the nation. It would mean jobs for them and the opportunity to improve their schools and other public services. For America such oil development would reduce our dependence on foreign imports at a time when crude prices are skyrocketing and when a gallon of gasoline cost the American consumer more than at any time in recent memory. All in all their would still be plenty of land and space for wildlife. I know everyone is bored by now but this really has been an interest to me for quite awhile because I do care about the wildlife but I also think we do need to get out of relying on foreign imports. I think it will happen one day, probably not in my time but someday. I hope.

im gonna be honest.. that was intense.. it kind of got me all wound up.. like i wanted to stand up and yell "YEAH! DAMN IT... YEAH!" good job. :)

LOL!!! Do it Megan...just let it go!!! LOL!!!

Seriously though...I like wildlife too. I think the people against drilling in ANWR try to play us people who are for it as "animal haters" or people who don't care for the environment. It's not that we don't care about the environment, it's we want to USE the environment for it's resources in the best possible way for all people, animals, and the environment itself. I just have a hard time believing the Caribou will not be able to continue life if we drll in ANWR...especially with our horizontal drilling capabilities that will have very minimal disruption on the environment. At the end of the day, we have to look out for ourselves as people. I mean, if it comes down to between us being dependant on foreign scumbag countries for oil and the disruption of some wildlife...I am going to take the disruption of some wildlife so we can have our own damn oil. Call me selfish, but whatever. The animals need to figure out how to fight back if it's that big of a problem. But I must warn any wild animals reading this...I have lots of ammo so watch your self. Until then, people rule.

And if it makes tree hugging hippie-PETA type people feel better...when I go trout fishing, I practice catch and release...most of the time. Altough, I will swerve to hit a cat in the road so I guess that cancels out that good deed. Oh well.

But seriously, I often too consider myself a PETA member. If PETA stands for "People Eating Tasty Animals"....HA HA HA...thats funny.

What is with the men in this family killing cats? Hah!

Bruce said...

I'm only kidding about running over cats. Even though I hate cats, I would feel bad if I killed one.

i actually have hit a cat... and killed it. like the life was immediately taken out of its body upon contact with my tire. it was crazy.

Bruce said...

LOL!!! That is funny...

Anonymous said...

yeah... but the not funny part about it was that it was like a 4 year old girl's new cat.. im a bad person.

Anonymous said...

Bruce I was wondering what to get you for a wedding present...now I know...a cute, fluffy kitten!

Oh yeah...and kick their a$$es!

Anonymous said...

Megan you are not a bad person. If you had a yardful of cats breeding and not caring that they run out in the road everyday and get killed, then you would be a bad person.

this is true...

Don't get me a cat, Megan will run over it...she IS a bad person.
